Week two has brought creative thinking, new inventions, and…a tea party? We’re starting to think that CAD stands for “Chamomile And Darjeeling” because, at the beginning of this week, the library suddenly became a stylish cafe after students brought tea, mugs, and even an electric kettle. Talk about a way to relax after a hard week of designing. Amid the posh parties, CAD has made an impressive amount of progress on the robot. “We basically have our full design laid out,” says Drew Middleton, a CAD student. “Now we’re going into details.” We hope to see a final design really soon–next week, the spotlight will be on fabrication as they begin work on the competition robot.
