We Are All Boosters!
If you have a student on the team, you are a Booster Club Member!
Jackson High School Robotics Boosters is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established to support the JHS Robotics Club / FRC Team 2910: Jack in the Bot. When your student joins Team 2910, you are automatically a full Booster Club member, eligible to attend meetings, vote on business, and hold Booster board positions.
The Boosters are a family-powered organization that works in tandem with the team, providing support through fundraising, financial management, logistical planning, materials purchasing, need-based travel scholarships, and of course, cheering at team events. The Boosters also act as a bridge between the team and families, helping to organize family support and communicating routinely via email newsletters and our Facebook group.
Annual dues paid by each team student and other fundraising proceeds allow Boosters to:
- Order team uniforms
- Cater some meals for the team at in-season competitions
- Purchase some robot materials and parts
- Purchase other supplies, such as media equipment, buttons, stickers, etc.
- Pay for robot and pit transportation to events
- Support need-based travel scholarships
- Maintain Slack, Google Workspace, Flickr, the team website and other apps or sites
- Cater the meal for the end of year celebration
- Recognize graduating students, coaches, and mentors at the end of year celebration
The JHS Robotics Boosters board meets routinely from August through June. All are welcome to attend. Watch our Facebook group and Boosters news emails for details.
