Team 2910: Jack in the Bot wrapped up the 2025 REEFSCAPE official season in unforgettable fashion, thanks to our hard-working team, a ton of late nights, and of course, our robot Spectre—a Coral-turning, Algae-stealing, Cage-grabbing machine that stood out wherever we went. With a season full of high seeds, blue banners, and world-record scores, this was one for the books.
🏆 Season Highlights
PNW District Sammamish
Spectre hit the ground at full speed at its debut event. With an 11-1-0 qualification record, we captained the #1 alliance with our awesome partners Miso Mechanics (9442), Sentinel Prime Robotics (2906), and The Clawbots (6350). Together, we swept the playoffs and took home the win—plus an Autonomous Award, because Spectre doesn’t just drive—it delivers.
PNW District Auburn
Next stop: Auburn. Armed with a refined intake and extra drive time (shoutout to the North End Practice Field gang), we swerved through quals with a perfect 12-0-0 record. Alongside Cedar Park Robotics (3663) and Wolf Tech Robotics (8896), we took another clean playoff win and snagged a second Autonomous Award. We were on a roll!
PNW District Championship
Things got more serious at the District Champs, but we came in hot. With a further modified end effector, we chalked up a quals record of 10-2, then led our 3rd seed alliance to a 5-0 playoff run and clinched the district title—our third blue banner of the season—plus another Autonomous Award. We’ve come a long way since that first KOP robot in the school hallway in 2009.
FIRST Championship – Newton Division
Houston, we had no problems. With an 8-2 qual record and a couple of world high scores under our belts, we were invited to join the #1 alliance by MadTown Robotics (1323) adding Maverick Robotics (4272) and Iron Panthers (5026) to form a dream team. We crushed the division playoffs and punched our ticket to Einstein playoffs. We were also honored with the division Innovation in Control award for our adaptable and robust intake mechanism.
Einstein Finals
Cue the dramatic music: we battled through the upper bracket, hit a speed bump in match 11, rallied back in match 13, and made it to the Einstein Finals for the first time since 2018. In an electric best-of-three showdown against the Johnson alliance (featuring reigning champs Team 1690), Newton alliance brought the heat. After a nail-biting tiebreaker—complete with perfect auto, epic Algae steal, and a flawless Deep Cage triple climb—we were crowned the 2025 FRC World Champions! 🌍🏆
🤖 Meet Spectre
Refined for REEFSCAPE based on our 2023 robot, Spectre was designed to do it all—and fast. Its dual-purpose end-effector grabs and places Coral and Algae with ease, while its swerve drivetrain (MK4i, later upgraded to MK5) and lightning-quick climb made it a force in both teleop and endgame. Speed, control, and a touch of intimidation? We’ll take it.
