FRC Team 2910: Jack in the Bot is headed back to the FIRST Robotics Competition World Championship in Houston—and this time, we’re going to defend our title.

Our journey to the Pacific Northwest (PNW) District Championship didn’t come easy. Heading into the eight-week build season, our team started with a solid plan and a robot we believed in. But as any robotics team knows, the real test begins when your robot hits the field.

We debuted our first robot, Blitz, at the Glacier Peak High School district event in early March. There, we finished seventh overall, earned a spot on the finalist alliance, and took home the Creativity Award for our serpentine feeder design. It was a strong start—but it also revealed areas where we needed to improve.

Two weeks later at the Auburn High School district event, we faced more challenges. We finished 22nd overall and competed as the first pick of the fourth alliance, advancing to the semifinal round. While we were proud of the fight, it was clear that Blitz wasn’t performing at the level we needed.

So we made a bold decision.

Armed with new insights into both robot performance and game strategy, our team chose to effectively start over—rebuilding our robot in just three weeks. It was an ambitious timeline, but our students and mentors rose to the challenge. The result was Re•Blitz: a completely redesigned robot, built from the ground up with improved durability, performance, and strategic focus.

When we arrived at the PNW District Championship, we were ready.

Despite the ups and downs of our earlier events, Team 2910 delivered when it mattered most. We finished second overall in qualifications and were selected to join the first-seed alliance. Together, we went on to win the event—securing our spot at the World Championship.

Re•Blitz proved itself on the field as a mechanically sound, highly robust machine capable of withstanding heavy defense while maintaining high scoring output. More importantly, it reflected the resilience and determination of the team behind it.

As our Engineering Officer, Kylie Liu, put it:
“We’re here with a new robot—we’re excited, we’re energized, and we never lost motivation. I’m incredibly proud of what our team accomplished.”

This season didn’t start the way we hoped—but it showed exactly what this team is capable of. From long build nights to rapid redesigns, this achievement is the result of hardworking students, dedicated mentors and coaches, and the unwavering support of our families and community.

We’re especially grateful to our alliance partners, FRC Team 2046 Bear Metal and FRC Team 2811 Stormbots, for their teamwork and trust on the field. We also want to recognize the incredible finalist alliance—FRC Team 948 NRG, FRC Team 1540 Flaming Chickens, and FRC Team 2412 Robototes—for pushing us to play our best.

Next stop: Houston.

We’re excited for the opportunity to compete on the world stage once again and represent our school, our community, and the Pacific Northwest.

Let’s go, 2910!
